Excellent no nonsense approach to getting tips

This is a must have for anybody in the hospitality industry. It's an easy read - a lively writing manner draws you in from start to finish. The material in this book can definitely be used to increase your tips. Also, by focusing on increasing your tips, you make the hospitality experience better for your customers. Needless to say, this will make you look great in the eyes of your managers. Buy it, read it, and put it to work. You won't regret it.

Insightful

If you are no stranger to the hospitality industry, this very insightful book takes all of the knowledge that you may or may not know and wraps it in a nice, neat package that you are then able to give to your servers...in plain English. As a restaurant manager, I have begun preaching the Kikland message and have started to see a personalization of service that just simply can not be achieved by simply telling them that they need to connect with their customers. This book gives both the manager and the server the tools to make those connections without it seeming like effort is being given.

Great book to enhance any servers ability to maximize their TIPS!

I am a manager for a chain restaurant that prides itself on great service. We were told about this book by my Regional & Area Director and how great it was. I ordered 2 books for my store to have and share. I took 1 home and so did my Head Server to read. When we both finished we were amazed by the great ideas and also the way this book uses actual data from different studies and puts a dollar or percentage amount something will increase your tip. I am having my entire server staff read this book. This book can give any server with any level of experience the tools and know how to maximize their TIPS!
