When Your Relationship Isn't Working - Read This..It Works with You

Having poured over and studied countless personal growth books in past decades, I can say that anymore when I read a book, I am more than pleased to find ONE new idea, a "gold nugget" in amongst the 1,000's of words. This book more than exceeded my expectations!! Owen Williams' book, The Relationship Revolution, is abundantly bursting with "Gold Nuggets" - novel ideas and concepts, I had never even imagined and most importantly, they make sense, they are simple Truths, and they point the way to profound results in a person's life, and any relationship. True North. For me, it has become like a Bible..to be revisited and revisited, taking my learning of who I am in relationship deeper each time and opening doors when none even existed before. As an unexpected bonus, this book's insights and guidance caused an intimate, life-changing conversation between 3 generations of women in my family - mothers, daughters, and granddaughters - that would not have occurred otherwise. I can see this book becoming a much in demand household mainstay, causing thought provoking conversations and powerful, connected relationship. Creating Quality Relationships...This Book Is A Must Read!!!

Ever since I was a young girl I remember being captivated by the notion of mutually fulfilling, gratifying and healing love relationships as well as being curious in finding out what keeps most people from ever such worthy relationships. In my quest to learn about successful love relationships, I read many books, attended many seminars and listened to many audio tapes and CDs on relationships. But I must admit that I found Owen William's book on relationship revolution to be absolutely powerful and brilliantly put together. Owen's voice is humble, genuine and sincere and his writing, using anecdotes and personal experiences, creates a space in which one is inspired to learn, investigate and take part in this extraordinary revolution. As much as I enjoyed the entire book, I particularly found Chapter 9 (Telling the Truth) to be the key chapter that resonated with me the most as I always felt that truth telling could be a determining factor as to whether or not a relationship would grow and blossom or decay and perish. It was also intriguing to learn about concepts such as relationship killers, relationship builders, rules of engagement in relationships, relationship models (traditional vs. modern) and many other important factors in relationships. As well as learning about distinctions between judgments vs. curiosity (my very favorite), anger vs. rage, care taking vs. care giving and consideration vs. compromise. I know reading about those concepts have helped me put things into perspective when I think about successful relationships. It was really interesting to hear Owen's perspective on how we, human beings, create our own stories with catastrophic endings and how we totally believe them too; and how that affects our relationships with ourselves, other people and the world around us.
