Book and movie of this Beverly Lewis title are both excellent.

When Sarah's sister dies she leaves her Old Order Amish children to Sarah who is a big city reporter/writer. Talk about culture shock. The children are so precious and you cry a lot with them. They have a very hard time adjusting to city life and so want to go home. Sarah learns a lot about love and herself. I will not spoil the book/movie for you. Also the movie soundtrack is also excellent and great music to fall asleep by. Highly recommend all three items. The movie and soundtrack are called the Saving of Sarah Cain. Highly recommend this read.

I was very pleased with the quality of the book when I received it. I have already read it and would recommend it to anyone who would like to read more about the Amish.

This was another great Beverly Lewis based on the life of the Amish. I am fascinated with the Amish. This story is about Sarah Cain whose widowed sister dies living behind 5 young children and requests Sarah as guardian to raise the children. Sarah and Ivy were not raised Amish but Ivy and her husband had joined the New-Order Amish. Sarah is a big city gal with a career and must choose between her familiar lifestyle and a much different life in Lancaster County. During this time she must work through many issues that have been troubling her for years. Reading this book is further insight into the Amish lifestyle and the children is this book are enjoyable and inspirational.
A GREAT BOOK WITH FUTURE POSSIBILITIES

Redemption was the first Beverly Lewis book I have read and I absolutely loved it. Having lived next to an Amish community I do understand some of that which goes on. The book was very realistic as far as Amish customs goes. The character of Sarah Cain was at first very disturbing as she was so conceided but I liked the gradual change that is seen in her throughout the book. Excellent and recommend to those who are religious and enjoy reading about the Amish Community.
Page-turning, heart-warming!

How does Beverly Lewis keep coming up with such true-to-life characters? They are alive and well in Amish country! I experienced real sorrow for Sarah, grieved Lydia's loss, and prayed for a loving, commited family to nurture the orphaned youngsters. Any hope of a sequel??
