The corrosion monitoring techniques are basically used to monitor or detect the effects of the occurred corrosion. These categories of monitoring techniques basically classified into seven techniques CEION, Electrical Resistance Monitoring, Electrochemical Methods, Hydrogen Monitoring, Weight Loss Coupons, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Techniques, Analytical Techniques. The corrosion monitoring techniques are essential for gathering the corrosion data which facilitate and improved the processes of controlling the damages resulting from the corrosion failure. There are many and different techniques used for monitoring the corrosion behavior some of them are destructive and some are non- destructive. The corrosion processes in industry are classified into internal and external corrosion, in case of internal corrosion the corrosion inhibitors are used to control the corrosion process in many industries.
