Get this book if you can...

John is my grandfather. He was a staunch conservative and fancied himself moral and a good Christian. He was a severe father, and a second rate academic. However, his two books reflect his self-image and suggest the conflict this image inflicted on his family. This book is a window into his beliefs system.
