saffron skies

I really loved this book. It starts with young girls clear through their adulthood. And the images she creates are amazing. I took this book to work, and the other two employees that have read it so far, fell in love with it also. I can't wait to see what her next book is like

Beautifully written.

I couldn't have asked for a better book. This book is about three young ladies and their lives. It starts out when they are teenagers and goes a bit of story line about each of them back and forth and from time to time others that are in their lives too. A lot happens in 600 some pages, and I won't go into details but love comes and goes, people move on, pass away, but friendships seem to be the rock in this book. I have...

Page Turner

This book was an entertaining page turner! It's a story about three women who's adventures take them from London to Belfast to New York to Africa. Great Book!

This book is 600 pages but it reads very easy and quick! The book reads very easy- in each chapter you read about all three main characters in separate little paragraphs, so you are kept completely upto date with each character as the story unfolds. The story spans a time of 40 years with three main characters, Amber, Becky and Madeline. Amber is the daughter of a very wealthy man who escaped Nazi Germany during the war...

Best I've read in a long time. . .

I hesitated spending money on a hard-cover book by an author I'd never heard of, but the price was well worth it. This is one of the best books I've read in a long while. I've passed it on to several friends, and they've loved it, too. When I first saw how thick the book was (over 600 pages), I didn't know if I'd get through the whole thing, but I couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to Ms. Lokko's next tale.
