In an ordinary city, in an ordinary street, in an ordinary house, lives an ordinary family called...The Quigleys. Mum and Dad think the Quigleys need to move house. The children are getting bouncier -... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I bought all the 4 Quigley's books on a recommendation I read by the author of the "Penderwicks" a couple of years ago. My kids (aged 8, 8 and 12) have read all four books multiple times. They revel in the (mis)adventures of the Quigley Dad. Some of the passages leave them rolling in laughter. There's something unique about the Quigley stories that makes the kids go back and re-read them several times. Highly recommended for ages 7 thru 12. Hope Simon writes a few more Quigleys books.

A cute portrait of a family of four from all perspectives. The humor is such that both kids and adults will enjoy reading it alone or together.
Very Funny!

This book is so funny! I have read it three times (I am 35...)! The illustrations make the text even more funny! The children think up schemes to help their parents pay "tacks", have much fun spending the weekend in a hotel, try to keep Dad from selling the house and "help" Mum enjoy a "relaxing" walk in the park.
