Can Alexandra really still love Mark?

We meet the oldest Radonovic sister Alexandra in this book. The final book in the Sisters of the Silver Dollar series. She's has her own preschool-Dancing Hippo Day Care and Preschool--she must love children!! Alex feels that the Christmas season will not be special for her. Her 3 sisters and even her mother have found soulmates. She had hers but he was unfaithful and the woman got pregnant so he married her instead of Alex. She's had some problems with her health in the last few years and is afraid she will never marry or have children of her own. Her soulmate, Mark Gaylord, comes back into her life with a very special request. He's divorced and the ex-wife has died so he has a very sad little boy he needs to care for. The little guy stutters so he isn't much of a talker and is so sad but Mark is afraid Braden's mother allowed something to happen to him. Braden's 7 now but has a real struggle in school and Mark hopes Alex will take him in her after-school program and maybe help Braden. It's a hard decision but once she meets Braden it's not hard at all. She loses her heart to him. All 3 of these characters steal your heart but Braden will always stay with you. Alex's prophecy from Yetta is: A child's laughter can heal a wounded heart, but first you have to heal the child. So what does this mean? Mark knows he still loves Alex but can he get her to return his love? Alex is so afraid of loving Mark but what can she do? I'm going to miss the Radonovic family but the 4 books have been so good I'll just read them again when I get lonely and maybe some day Ms Salonen will give us another Radonovic to love. well written second chance at love

With Christmas approaching, Alex Radonovic, head of Dancing Hippo Day Care and Preschool, feels her loneliness as her three sisters (see "Sisters of the Silver Dollar" tales) have found their loved ones. She found hers several years ago, but her then fiancé Mark Gaylord ended their relationship when he admitted to her that he cheated on her with his police force partner Tracey, who became pregnant. He married Tracey and Alex heartbroken moved on. Still she will get through this season as she did Mark. Shockingly a desperate and divorced Mark visits Alex at her preschool asking for her help. He wants her to work with his depressed son Braden, who he thinks might have been abused or neglected by Tracey. Alex prefers nothing to do with her betrayer who broke her heart with the proof of his infidelity. That is until she sees sad Braden and thinks the sins of the father should not be borne by the son. Mark knows immediately how much he lost when he lost the caring, loving Alex, but will do nothing towards a second chance because Braden must come first. Braden will steal readers' hearts as she does Alex and Mark. The audience will hope nurturing him with love will help this young lost soul. Alex is a fascinating character who though hurt badly by Mark not only successfully moved on with her life, reaches out to Braden; fans of the miniseries already know she has a heart of gold. Though Tracey is too over the edge with her emotional and physical woes including drug dependency, readers will enjoy this well written second chance at love with inadvertently a sad child serving as a matchmaker.
