The Truth on The Punishment Response

Graeme places the concept of punishment within a historical context in order to illustrate his retributive justification for punishment. Unlike many other academics of punishment theory, this author has a rather interesting and broad conceptualization of punishment which provides the basis for his arguement (I am not going to tell you what it is; Read it for yourself!) His psychoanalytic viewpoints make for insightful assertions that many intellectuals neglect to illustrate in their works. All and all, this book proved to be a highly readable and informative product of first class scholorship.
