Humor can do a host of positive things. Any public speaker will agree with Helen and Larry on this. The authors not only give the importance of humor but also present before the reader hundreds of witty sayings and thought-provoking jokes as well as anecdotes. They are neatly arranged with a quick reference index for the sake of those who want to be effective speakers in a wide range of situations. I have always found these helpful to enliven the audience and get a point across with ease.
