Book Overview

The Proposal is a pulse-pounding thriller about a rarely discussed women's medical issue from one of America's most prolific novelists. It begins with a foolish error. While attending a writers' conference in Washington, D.C., Theodora Russell gets a call from an editor who wants to discuss her book proposal. During their meeting, however, Theo quickly discovers that the editor actually wanted to meet with Theodore Russell and talk about his book...

NOT propaganda, but someone who dares speak the truth!

This book is the only novel I've found that dares to speak the truth about the link between abortion and breast cancer. The Danish study published in the NE Journal of Medicine was fatally flawed--stats included over 60,000 women who said they'd not had abortions but who actually had legal abortions on record. Plus, 350,000 women in the study were too young to get breast cancer. In addition, 10 out of 11 U.S. studies confirm the link. Kudos to Angela Hunt for daring to write a novel that tells it like it is. I highly recommend this book!

One of her best works

This book is refreshingly well researched and the story well told. The author has perfectly used narration to drive a point home to all women who may not have realised the link between breast cancer and abortions. This book leaves you thouroughly entertained and thirsty for a sequel

Strong Book about the Link between abortion + breast cancer

This book isn't about elective or therapeutic abortions--in fact, the only reference to those situations is in an aside that happens to be factual. This is a book about the often shushed up statistical evidence linking abortion to increased breast cancer risk. Abortion has been debated for years, and those who are pro-choice are big on claiming the rights of women. This book points out a truth that women have a right to know--if not for the sake of the unborn child, who is always ignored in the case of abortion, then for the sake of the mother's health. This book is pro-life AND pro-woman. The following is the only quote I could find that even mentioned elective versus therapeutic abortion. It comes from a rather '88 President Reagan banned the use of fetal tissue from elective abortions. But fetuses from miscarriages or from therapeutic abortions were allowed to be used in research, so the work went on. Researchers used private money for transplants and over forty-five million dollars from the National Institutes of Health to continue. When President Clinton did away with the ban during his first week in office, the lid came off. Researchers are now having a heyday."

Very informative, a great story

This story gave me information about first pregnancy abortion and breast cancer that I did not know. It was very suspenceful as well as entertaining. Angela Hunt portrayed God's goodness and love for women and unborn children. Angela Hunt is getting out a message that needs to be told about the facts of abortion.
