So simple, so profound

In 64 pages, Tim Wright sums up the solution for dying mainline churches. It's so simple! Jesus said, "Be in the world, not of it." We're very good at the latter, but have forgotten how to do the former. The book is full of real examples that have proven themselves in a Lutheran church. It's possible for even the most tradition bound churches to become culturally relevant again. An easy read, entertaining and very well written.

Engaging and Counter Cultural

In modern times every Church growth expert has tried to have us hollywoodize churches turning them into, productions. This book takes us beyond the glizt and glamour and instead encourages us to use culture to love people. Some of his approaches may seem scandalous but Jesus was scandalous in his approach. Most importantly this is not another how to book. It simply makes reccomendations on how to better love the world around us.
