Imagine being 10 - 12 years old again, living in a neighborhood where each day you're surrounded by the normal activities of drugs, crime, having to fight the guy next door one day and fight another guy two days later. Not having a clue about life but believe you were born for some reason other than to be another statistics out of the black community. You're always in church on Sunday but not understanding anything being said about God. Birthday after birthday and each year seem as dull as the year before. Mad at life, tired of hearing about a God you can't see or understand, and depressed with life; but refusing to quit. After years of living in ignorance of who you are, why you are alive, and beat down from substance abuse you have an encounter with something/someone that completely causes you to rethink life, rethink your purpose, and rethink your potential. The challenges you now have are staying focus, being confident, and being determined to stay in the fight. Family and friends don't understand why you want to change. They say "we'll see if he last". You deal with the gossip of "who does he think he is, and it don't take all that". You have major choices to make now; will you give in or will you stand your ground and fight for your marriage, your family, and your purpose for life.
