Catholics may not be quite as Catholic as they think. What Martin Luther failed to achieve in the 16th century, converting the many holdout Catholic areas of the world to the Protestant "purity" appears to have been accomplished by the Second Vatican Council in the 60's. This book will make any Catholic wonder what religion they actually belong to leaving them with the final question of, does it matter, and do I care? This book is a must for any Catholic.
Indespensible for any R. Catholic dissapointed in New Mass
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 25 years ago
A Book that concisely explains why the New Mass instituted in late sixties is so desperately dissapointing for Catholics raised with the traditions of the original and ancient Mass long considered by Popes and Councils for two thousand years to be absolutely unchangeable. It clearly explains what has been deleted, and how the most sacred wording of the ancient Mass was altered and what the role of the priest actually is as opposed to what it was. The new wording and function of the priest appears to have been deliberate so as to pave the way for additional streamling at a future time. This in particular will more than likely effect the role of the priest who seems to have been made far less esential to the celebration of the Mass.
