Material Science : The Reference

This has to be the best book on material science basics that I have seen ! (I've seen too many) From atomic structure to Brillouin Zones everything is there, in plain english!

A great advanced intro. to materials science.

- This is a wonderful academic introduction to materials. It's probably most siginficant as an early intellectual product of the present CEO of Intel (done when he was just an obscure professor).

Outstanding Book!

This book is the best I've read in its class. It reviews all aspect of materials enginnering in a simple and understandable way. It is an excellent introductory book to materials engineering. It is also a good review of the basics.

Very good coverage of fundamentals of Materials Science

This book is a good reference or review book for materials science, and an excellent text for a one-year course in Materials Science or Engineering Materials.
