“They don’t have to love it, or understand it but they’re going to remember it” -Prince Sebastian

QUEER JOY. That’s all. I loved this book. It’s a book that I will be giving to people for years to come. It’s a beautiful story of love, support and self discovery.

A delight!

Extremely cute and sweet. Genuine with its message. It didn’t feel like the fourth wall broke and I was being preached at, but it also addressed the relevant topics openly. Just a simple little story with great illustrations. The facial expressions were great and the fashion was 🤌 magnifique.

This book is perfection.

Prince Sebastian has a secret. Frances the dressmaker has a dream. Together they can rule the fashion world, as long as no one finds out that Lady Crystallia is really the Prince. How long can Prince Sebastian keep his true self from his parents, who are eager to find him a bride, and is Frances willing to stay in Lady Crystallia's closet, from the fear that people will link the Prince and the Lady as one. I have fell in love with this book. Everything about it is perfectly beautiful, from the unique characters and the gorgeously inspired dresses, to the whimsical art and heartfelt storyline. To me, this wasn't a "finding out who you are" story, this was a "follow your dreams and learn to let yourself be who you are" story. Going in, Sebastian knew how he felt when he wore his mother's dresses versus being the Prince of Belgium, and he was comfortable as both. The problem came in, that his world wasn't, or at least he thought they weren't. Frances came in knowing nothing, and while Sebastian/Crystallia helped her achieve her dream, she also saw something in him, connecting them in a special way and giving them both a true friend for I believe the first time. Also, shout out to Sebastian's father. He didn't know how to support his son at first, but once everything was on the table, that man came through! He is the ideal supportive parent in my opinion, someone who's willing to throw everything at the wall for their kid, I love him. Fans of the graphic novels Mooncakes, and The Tea Dragon Society would enjoy The Prince and The Dressmaker, all have beautiful art styles and heartfelt stories. I hope with all my might that there is a sequel so we find out more of Sebastian, Frances, and Lady Crystallia's story. If nothing else, with new characters, and these now older and wiser.

Storyline was great 😊

But the book came out really beat up, Was disappointed. And it didn’t say ex library but on the book it has the sticker. Should of been way less on how much I got it. Other than that great story

Sweet and perfect!

How perfectly perfect! This is happy and joyful and everything I needed to read right now. The illustration was stunning and I'm obsessed with the fashions!
