The Price of Love was a heartfelt, gripping story written by Beverly Clark. I sincerely felt sorry for Brenda and I understood her abhorrence towards men and lawyers in particular. If I had experienced her dramatic trauma, I can't honestly say that I would have reacted any differently. However, I applaud Gil for his patience and tolerance towards Brenda's negative attitude, even when he didn't know all the details behind it. Somehow, he was able to see what truly lied underneath and he was determined to draw it out to the forefront. I was immediately drawn to Gil's charm and thought he was the perfect person to unleash Brenda's passion. The chemistry ignited instantly between couple. And, although, Brenda tried to fight it, the desire to be held and loved by Gil could not be denied. You Go Girl!

This was my first story by Ms Clark and it was the bomb! It was very funny, in a sense that Gil comes on very strong. It was great, I read it in one day. Make sure you go out and get it today, I'll be sure to get her other two books! Much love to Ms Clark!

INTRIGUING,ROMANTIC

THE PRICE OF LOVE has many secrets, the heroine of the novel was Brenda Davis(aka Shelia Walker), the daughter of wealthy parents, who made a unforgivable mistake by convincing their daughter, to give her son up for adoption, which lead to a breakdown, after recovering Brenda decides to relocate, start a new life, little did she know her future had started, she met MacGil Jackson, the hero of the novel, and gets the shock of her life. This is the first book I've read of Ms. Clark, and found it to be very enjoyable, and look forward to future novels.
