The Price of Freedom is Well Worth the Price

The Price of Freedom is an excellent read! The Saurellian Federation series is an engrossing series of related novels, but they are not dependent on each other in the manner of typical sequels; they can be read in any order (or singly) without damaging the narrative. Wylde's characters and story lines are a bit dark, but remain true to the conventions of the genre, and her books are always a treat.

steamy and riveting

I loved this book! The story was smart and the relationship between Bethany and Jess was really captivating for me. I am afraid I couldn't put it down once I started it. There were some riveting sex scenes and thoughtful plot lines. Really a great book.

Great Sci Fi Romantica!

This is the story of Jess, an escaped slave, and Bethany, a slave owner's daughter who's been living a slave-like existence herself. Their love for each other is moving, passionate and exciting. I enjoyed this book even more than the preceding one ("The Price of Pleasure") because I really liked the characters here. Jess and Bethany love each other, but are from different worlds - he's a former slave, and she's a former slave owner's daughter. Yet they're perfect for each other. They're both caring people, and they come to help one another. And there are scenes between them that are sizzling! This is also an intelligent story about slavery and the issue of freedom within a relationship. I highly recommend it to readers who enjoy sci fi and romance.
