I'm Happy Again!!!

I must confess that this is my 14th novel by this sensational author. When, I first started reading this, I thought this was perhaps a good story but as I got further into the novel, I realized that the title is not appropriate, it should be called "The Preacher and his Family". The title suggest that you will be reading all about the preacher's son and how scandalous he might be but like the author always does, he throws a twist and you will be shocked when you find out just how righteous with a little scandal that Dante can be? I never thought he would find love with Tanisha but again there is more twist here too. The real shock comes when Donna, the pastor's daughter reveals her secrets but it is the both the Pastor and First Lady who must confess as well and when you read it, the walls will come tumbling down. The author gives you some life lessons here. Before you judge others, take a look in the mirror at yourself. Let he who has sinned be the first to cast a stone. You never should judge a book by its cover and I was guilty of that. Again, Mr. Weber you get the gold for bringing it home. I heard that this novel was turned into a movie with Netflix but I have searched and found no movie. If and I can find it, I would be glad to watch it now. Again, I love your early works but it seems that in your latest works, the passion has somewhat gone. I hope you bring this great vigor and excitement into your new work and to quote Ashford & Simpson, "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing".

Excellent Character Development

One thing I have always admired about Carl is his ability to develop fictional characters. This book proves my point. The characters in this book, everyone from Dante to Donna to Shorty to Taniesha and last but not least, the First Lady and Bishop, come to life throughout the pages. As a preacher's kid myself, I am well aware of all the stone-throwing and freakiness that goes on behind the scenes in a congregation. The main people looked up to in the church are often the most scandalous of the bunch. I really loved the Dante character because he was a "real man" who did not rely on his sex organ to make his most important decisions. He was forgiving, loving, and compassionate; everything most women want in a man but fail to find or often overlook similar to the way Taniesha almost did in the novel. For a fast-paced entertaining ride, you can never go wrong with a Carl Weber novel. This one is definitely a conversation piece that I am sure bookclubs across the country are eating up. I loved the excerpt from his upcoming novel and can't wait to read it.

A MUST READ!! TWO THUMBS UP!

Carl, Carl, Carl (shaking my head) You never cease to amaze me... This book was magnificent!!! I enjoyed reading ever page of it! If you have not yet went and purchase this book PLEASE go out and do so. It's well worth it. I'm one of the managers of Sista's In Books Book club located in Detroit and we have added this book as one of our suggestions. A few of us have already had a phone conference about this book and we were all blown away! We love the way you tie in a old character from another book into this book. Can't wait for "SO YOU CALL YOURSELF A MAN!!!!" let's get cracking Carl your eager readers are waiting. Keep up the drama, we're loving it! Forever a Carl Weber fan!

KUDOS for the Preacher's Son!!!

This novel is absolutely delicious!! This is Mr. Weber's best work I think to date! I have read all of Mr. Weber's work to date and I think that this is his best! This book deserves to be 10 stars!!! This is his first novel based on a Christian perspective and I must stay that I was very pleased with how he portrayed Rev. TK Wilson, the First Lady Charlene, the son (Dante) and the daughter (Donna). Mr. Weber told the Gospel Truth...Christians are imperfect human beings who are capable of doing wrong but we are striving toward the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ. I want to say thank you and God bless you for such a pleasurable yet inspirational read! I am looking forward to your next work, You Call Yourself a Man! I am recommending this book to my reading group. Everyone who calls himself/herself a Christian needs to read this book!!! May God continue to use you as his Vessel!! A Proud Fan! ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE WAIT!!!

Once again Mr. Weber has mesmerized us again. As always invites readers into the complicated lives of a "church" family who appear on the surface to have everything imaginable. But as the readers delve into the hidden secrets of these family members the truth slowly but surely oozes out. BRAVO!! Come on Mr. Weber, hurry up and finish So You Call Yourself A Man

A NEW CARL WEBER FAN IS BORN

I never read Carl Weber's books before because I didn't like his titles: Baby Momma Drama, Player Haters... You know what I mean. But everybody in my book club's been talking about him and I got a galley for the Preachers Son in the mail yesterday. Well, the title on this one was a little more appealing to me so I started to read and I didn't stop reading until I was finished. (It's 5AM) My goodness Carl Weber where have you been all my life. This book was so good it's frightening. I felt like I was right in the middle of everything that was going on. I don't wanna tell the story but how does a man who writes books called Baby Momma Drama and Player Haters know so much about church? Carl Weber I'm about to go to work and tell everyone who will listen about this book and when I get off I'm headed to the store to buy your other books. You're a great writer and a glad to be your newest fan. Thanks for a good read.
