The Prayer Tree

What a delight to find a book that focuses not only on women and their friendships, but on Christian women. This book is not preachy, but the characters interact in a way to gently lead the reader toward some basic truths about all people. I'm glad I got to know these women and wish I could join them at the next Prayer Tree.

This book shows how women come together to create their own family when necessary. The characters are so warm and real they could be members of my own family! This book is a must for every woman who admires strength and humanity in themselves and other women. I could see a mini-series or show on this simple yet very complex story.

Do not miss this book, it's wonderful. The storylines are positively engrossing, but better still, the characters are unforgettable. The women potrayed are strong yet vulnerable, and drawn with the sensitivity of a master.. I cannot wait until my daughter, now eight, is old enough to read it.
