A Wonderfully Inspiring Read

THE PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS by James F. Twyman is one of those very simple and short little books that packs a huge wallop. James Twyman breathes powerful life into St. Francis of Assisi, his companion Brother Leo, all those we meet (even Rumi) along the path of their journey to meet with the Muslim Sultan of Syria to try to get all parties in the Crusades to lay down their swords. Many of us are very much aware of the tremendous power of prayer and with this particular prayer: "Oh, Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me bring love. . ." The portrait of St. Francis that Brother Leo finally finishes at the end will astound you. Would that we would apply the message of St. Francis of Assisi to the current war zones on our planet today. The message is timeless. This is an extremely fast read with so much wisdom.
