The Potentially Sane Mother's Guide to Raising Young Children I keep reading this book OVER and OVER!! It has amazing guides to help any mother with kids small or big!! It has given me ideas that I would have never thoughts of to make my life and my kids lives happier by just doing a few little things to make things FUN!! I have bought several copies for friends and family. They make wonderful baby shower gifts too!! She is hands down my favorite author! It has help in every area and I LOVE the quick and easy receipes in the back!!

The one book I keep going back to read.

I have read copious books on parenting. My complains on a lot of them - they're written by some PhD guy who doesn't know about being a stay-at-home mom of small kids, or great moms whose children have grown up and have lots of great memories and advices which makes me feel like a failure. I was impressed that Tamara Fackrell wrote this book while her younger ones were still in diapers and took about a year to write this book. Her ideas, approach to parenting, and activities are something real, something I can related to, and something I can actually apply with my own children. Another great thing about this book is, she divided her book into 31 mini chapters. Just read one chapter a day and in one month, you're done. After that, you can go back and brush up some mothering skill, feel better and encouraged, and get ideas. I hope she will write a book on teenagers when my kids become teenagers.

Makes you feel "normal" in your own crazy family

What a great resource for families...especially in this "gotta do everything" world we live in. Practical and realistic advice, funny stories and fabulous family night/teaching moment ideas. If that weren't enough, there are even recipes for busy families at the back! Would highly recommend it to anyone with a young family.

The Best Parenting Book Ever!

This book is phenomenal! I love how the author takes a subject, puts it into realistic life circumstances, and gives simple yet effective ideas, along with how to make those ideas work. There are hundreds of well thought out ideas for almost every circumstance you can imagine, and she's used them all and shares her stories for true-to-life illustration. I find myself saying "Yes! That's exactly how I feel. What a great idea." I've tried some of the author's ideas and have loved how they've worked for my family. I've read other books and listened to tapes. But, none of them have really hit the spot like this one. Some are too rigid, some too "modern", and some just have inconsistent reasoning for disciplining little children. Tamara Fackrell strikes a perfect balance and I feel I can completely trust her ideas and opinions because she's very honest and realistic. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is a parent of small children.

This Book Is The Most Helpful Parenting Book I've Ever Read

I absolutely loved this book. It has great ideas to help teach your children important values (and don't cost a lot either). She talks about principles and then gives examples and quotes from various people and experiences. I feel like a new mom after reading this book, and I feel more determined and more empowered to raise my kids the way I know I can and should. Thank You Tamara - Heather Enke
