Very exciting

I dont' know what the previous reviewer is talking about--the book's stories are not complex at all. Aitmatov does have a very distinct style, that is, he likes to uses many characters and mix them up. That, however, doesn't make the story complex, in fact quite contrary. It feels very strange to see how different from different walks of life could be connected.
