The Pirate And His Lady is Amazing!

Emerald Harwick finds herself in danger on the high seas. In the midst of war on the Jamaican seas, she finds her Christian Faith and loyalty are tested to the limit. Pirates, Buccaneers and Rulers of the world are beautifully intertwined in this story of danger, love, and the search for truth. There are few good, Christian authors around, But Linda Chaikin would be one of those few. This book was simply heartstopping! i cried, i laughed, and even got frustrated! But in the end, it leaves you so happy you feel you could cry. That's how a book should leave you. She tells it like you're actually there, watching the story play before your eyes.

Better Than "TITANIC"

I picked up this book completely by accident, but ended up buying the other two books in the series I loved it so much! Baret is the best hero I've read about so far, and Emerald is the epitome of grace and the Proverbs 31 woman with her heart being after God's own. Their escapades on the high seas of the Caribbean got my heart going as much, if not more, than James Cameron's TITANIC.I highly recommend it to anyone wanting an escape, but also a lesson on learning to trust and love... God has a plan for each of us, and Linda Chaikin effortlessly crafts this into all her works. READ THIS! BUY THIS! *****

Love Finally starts happening for Baret & Emerald!

After all is said and done with from the first book(hopefully)Emerald and Baret fall in love.Baret finally realizes there is more to Sir Karlton's(not sure on spelling)brat and decides to fully agree with the terms he and Sir Karlton came up with on Tortuga(The Pirates Refuge or Home), although part of his descion has to do with his fiance, Lavender's marriage.Emerald isn't as sure of her feelings as she would like to be. Though she realizes she's in love with him, she still thinks Baret is really in love with her cousin Lavender who is supposively married to her Aunt's stepson.Things would be so much easier if they would see what is right infront of them, but all of their trials and tribulation(you could say) make for a very good book.

One of the best!

This might be my most favorite book, ever. It's got adventure, betrayal, treasure, and some great plot twists! And it's got the best things in life in it, too: faith, hope, and love. I recommend this to anyone who likes adventure, pirates, or a good romance. Way to go Ms. Chaikin!

An action packed novel of betrayel, dark secrets and love.

This book brings the spirit and life of pirates of the Caribbean to life. I found the book to be an enjoyable trip back to the days of bucaneers. The characters are well written. Ms. Chaikin continues on with the the story of Baret and Emerald. Barets search for news of his father while sailing with Captain Morgan. Meanwhile, Emerald faces intrigue and deceit from Felix Foxworth, Lavender and pirates of the Caribbean. Her plans to be schooled in London are put off by the war between England and Spain. Baret and Emerald face not only the dangers of piracy and war but the dangers of mistrust and doubt. Their relationship blooms despite the plots against them. The delicate development of the characters weaves together a story which comes amazingly to life. I could hardly wait for the sequel to this book. I recommend this book to all those who dream of that love which blossoms through adversity with a touch of adventure. Once you pick this book up, you won't put it down
