Owning the Biblical Journey as my Own

From this book one almost feels the timeless presence of God, alive today, legacy of salvation history from the time of Abraham. Br. John of Taize writes descriptively of Hebrew history and draws the reader into deepening his or her faith journey by posing reflective questions at the close of each chapter ie. "The life of Abraham expresses in a nutshell what it means to be men and women of faith. . . What does it mean for me to live as a pilgrim 'on the road'? Where do I find the strength to do this? The book is scholastically sound, a pleasure to read, a challenge to ponder. It is an excellent book for group or individual study as an introduction to the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament.
