VERY entertaining

Quick synopsis as the title is misleading / the perfect mistress is the deceased author of and protagonist in a series of memoirs, which her great granddaughter needs to sell. The granddaughter is the leading lady, and, in typical Alexander style, is witty, pretty and very independent. The leading man is also typical of Alexander- engaging, endearingly misguided, very correct, and, of course, rich and handsome. Their dueling relationship is extremely entertaining and lighthearted. I would have given 5 stars but the supernatural element, treated with such finesse in Seduction of a Proper Gentleman, is just a little heavy handed. But I would definitely recommend.
