Such a fun book and series!

This book is interesting, lovable, and, sometimes, unbearably funny. My kids LOVE it with all their heart, even my 2 boys. Heck, even I enjoy reading this series. It is FANTASTICALLY written and I would totally recommend this book for girls 5-11 years in age [and boys the same age area might enjoy it. My oldest boy is 11!]. That boys favorite part is when Skye, the second oldest, meets Jeffery, the only boy in the first book, by accidentally knocking him out cold.

Best Book Ever !!!!

The was book was heartwarming and amazing and it was like reading a masterpiece (read the book if you like drama love forgiveness family)❤️❤️❤️

The Penderwicks was a great story of friendship and summer adventure. My kids loved it

The Penderwicks understood the meaning of family, and helping out people they cared about was important to them.

An Amazing Book

Wow! I first read this book when i was in like 2nd grade and recomended it to my best friend. At the time we loved every aspect of it, and it was our "recess game," mostly because we could totally relate to it. To this day we both still re- read and re- read it. The best part is that we can still relate to it... a great book for all ages. Bound to become a family traditition.

Best Book Ever!

I think that The Penderwicks was the best book ever written. It's exciting and interesting, without the feeling of someone trying to kill you. It's the perfect book for a relaxing summer. It's also really funny, and I think anyone who doesn't like it is crazy!

A GREAT family story

Our whole family (with children ages 2 -12) LOVED this story! It is funny. It is sweet. It is true to the best and some of the oddities of human behavior and family life. I wish there were more "modern" wholesome family stories like this one!

A fun book for all ages!

I initially purchased this book for the kids at the library where I work because it takes place in The Bershire Mountains where we live and because it sounded like an old fashin read for young people. After finishing it yesterday in the wee hours of the morning I discovered several new reasons to recommend this book for all ages! It is a wonderful story about resilience and adventure. It has some very, very tame and gentle romance for readers who are a little bit older. It is exciting and at the same time understated. My favorite character had to be Jane, the next to the youngest Penderwick. I wasn't fond of Skye, but she had to be there. The book would not have been the same without her. Mr. Penderwick was the kind of father everyone would have loved to have had and the ending was charming, if not a bit sappy...but who cares?! It is a happy book for kids in this day and age of war and terrorism and juvenile/young adult books where someone is always dying, or addicted, or getting raped. This book would be a great read-aloud for a class room or a family. Definetly refreshing, I cannot wait for the next installment!
