A heart-touching story which is warmly illustrated

An appropriate picture book for children ages 4-8, The Path Winds Home is part of The Patchwork Pals Tales, a series of gentle tales by Janie DeVos that follow the adventures of furry friends learning lessons about life. The Path Winds Home tells of a rabbit who skips instead of hops, a skunk who doesn't stink, and a bear who sings - all of whom are ostracized from their own societies because they are different. Yet they meet one another and live together happilly in heart-touching story which is warmly illustrated by Nancy Marsh.

This "Path" definitely winds home!

Janie Devos' second book is a success in teaching us about diversity. These wonderful,whimsical characters very innocently show the reader how being different can be a gift and an advantage. The illustrations reinforce the message and are light-hearted and fresh. It is a pleasure to see Janie DeVos create another quality book for children and we should look forward to her future offerings!

A Must Read for Children AND Adults

Kudos to Janie Devos whose books have inspired my 6-year old nephew to choose reading over his Sony Play Station. He read her first book, 'How High Can You Fly' so many times he actually memorized it! Janie's books always have such a beautiful message that teaches children and makes adults sit back and think about valuable lessons we may have forgotten. Sit down with a child and read, "The Path Winds Home" and both of you will come away enlightened and inspired!
