The Pastor's Woman

(Book #2 in the Three Weddings and a Reunion Series)

New preacher Wade Kendrick might as well have taken out an ad for a wife--all the church mamas paraded their daughters in front of him every Sunday. But after a tainted past, Wade wanted a reserved, traditional woman. Everything his star gospel singer was not. But he only had eyes for her--Pearl Lockhart, aka Ms. Wrong. Pearl had her eye on gospel stardom. She didn't fit into the preacher man's world any more than he fit into hers. But he was one...

I hope there is a sequel!

The Ups and Downs of Being Round Taste My Soul This story was soooo good, and it ended leaving me wanting so much more. I REALLY hope there is going to be a sequel because I need to know what else has happened with the pastor and his woman!

This book kept my attention

This book is very entertaining. What I liked best about it is you never know who God has for you. To be honest, I never thought Pearl and Wade would be together. They complimented each other. I'm also glad that Wade addressed his past and forgave himself. I'm glad his Mother forgave him as well. Overall the book really kept my attention. I just hated the story ended. lol I wanted to see whether Pearl and Wade would marry. Thanks Jacquelin Thomas!

Great Story

Jacquelin Thomas always delivers. I can't believe this book had negative reviews. The romance was intriquing and the conflict was tense. I love it when I don't know what's going to happen. It was the stuff great romances are made of.

Don't believe the negative hype, this is a wonderful story

I loved this book from start to finish. The chracters were well-drawn and realistic, the dialogue was great and you couldn't help but care about each and every character. And being a Michigan naitve, I have to say Ms Thomas did an excellent job of depicting Detroit, right down to our obsession with Coney dogs! A good romance doesn't have to have explicit sex scenes for it to be memorable and highly readable. If you're looking for real lve and seeing real people grow into a realistic relationship, this is the book for you.

Pleasantly Surprised by Pearl and the Pastor...

I'm not normally a reader of inspirational romance novels. I need my love scenes. So even though I became intrigued by Pearl Lockhart and Pastor Wade Kendricks when they first appeared in the first novel in this series, I thought I probably wouldn't care for the novel because I knew Ms. Thomas wrote inspirational novels and I wouldn't be reading a novel as hot as I normally like them. But I have to say the way Ms. Thomas delivered Pearl and the Pastor to the page left me closing the novel with a big smile on my face. The characters really popped off the page. Ms. Thomas did an excellent job at showing how even a man of God could be tortured by personal demons. I think that the hero in this novel was developed more and we really got a sense of his past and how it influenced him and his desire to be ultra-conservative. But Pearl Lockhart is a woman who knows her own mind and she is the woman the Pastor loves, even though he is reluctant to admit it. I could tell that Pearl and the Pastor were extremely attracted to one another and fighting it all the way. Their chemistry was portrayed very well. I felt their connection through their words and deeds. I loved that Pearl helped him conquer the past that haunted him. I loved that the Pastor helped Pearl keep the faith she needed to pursue her singing career. I also found it refreshing that once they stopped fighting their feelings they realized that they were meant to be together. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up loving this novel. And it might make me take a chance on other inspirational novels in between my hot and steamy romances... Great job, Ms. Thomas.
