I really like how comprehensive this book is. Usually I can only find books on the 8 sabbats. I like that this goes into other holy days from many different traditions.

The comprehensive listing of Pagan events for the year is a must have for all practitioner libraries. All paths covered in effecient detail. I highly recommend it for everyone.

This book is chuck full of information for each month and encompasses many different Pagan cultures. A wonderful resource for the curious, newsletters, calendars, event planning and for teaching/lectures. I highly recommend this book for personal and group libraries.

Two reviewers rate this book lower that they would have if the author had been of their religious preference for that reason alone and consider the author's religious preference a 'drawback'. I simply loved this book, and all the knowledge that came with it! The book is divided into months, with an introductory passage on the meanings and Pagan lores of each month. Then each day of the month is discussed for its significance. This book is loaded with interesting references from Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Celtic, and Norse religions, and gives an all-around picture of each that I haven't found in other texts...
