Author was all over the place in the book; not consistent with storyline, jumping from one plot to another. However, in the end, turned out to be interesting reading .

Cute Story

I was truly interested in this book based on the synopsis. Finished the book in about 2 days, it was a overall good book, lot's of twists and turns. Somewhat predictable, but a couple of surprises.

(3.5 Stars) Who's Kissin' You?

Meet the Kincaids. Justin is an R & B sensation thanks to his wife, Katlyn, who has been his biggest supporter. With Justin's god given talent and Katlyn's strength, the couple quickly prospers. With a number one song in the charts, Justin is able to win over plenty of women. Although he professes his gratitude towards Katlyn, the truth of the matter is, he just doesn't love her anymore. Unconcerned about the effects another woman will have on his marriage and newfound stardom, Justin chases that feeling for as long as he possibly can. Everything that Katlyn ever dreamed of is coming to fruition. She has a fairytale marriage, wealth, and her own business. Although she notices that Justin has somewhat changed, she isn't willing to forgo the fantasy. Naively, Katlyn ignores the tell-tale signs preferring instead to coast through denial. The Other Side of Through by author Marsha Jenkins-Sanders details the journey of love, appreciation and substance. Readers experience the characters learning to step out of security and into significance. Appealing characters, good storyline, but at the end of the story I couldn't help feeling cheated. (RAW Rating: 4.5) - Getting To the Other Side

Katlyn Kincaid lost her mother when she was a child and her father doted on her. Her mission was to make the men in her life happy while sacrificing herself. She took this attitude into her marriage and lost herself. She forged ahead into someone else's world searching for a hero to validate her existence. Justin hailed from a family of numerous siblings with different fathers. His mother suffered from mental illness and subsequently abandoned the family. Seeking and feeling a void in his life, Justin latched on to Katlyn and all that was good. These two lost souls came together out of an unspoken need. Katlyn is living the good life. She touts a husband who is at the top of his game with a number one hit within the music industry, a beautiful home, cars and anything her heart desires. Neither Katlyn nor her husband Justin can ignore the fact that she is responsible for his success, she is the one who penned the lyrics to his chart topper, but this is an issue Katlyn does not dwell on. Through all of the accolades and riches, Justin begins to seek the single life and strays from his marriage vows. This act alone causes immense conflict within himself and finally those around him. THE OTHER SIDE OF THROUGH by Marsha Jenkins-Sanders is a close look at an internal battle when you live your life for others. The storyline appears to be a typical man cheats on his wife who gave everything to the marriage. However, the story evokes so much more and the author does a wonderful job of getting the reader inside the heads of the protagonists forcing us to look within. What is revealed is painful, thought-provoking and in the end, settling. She offers some great one-liners such as "Step out of security and into significance," "Stillness is a wonderful thing," "If you don't place value on yourself, don't expect others to raise the price." These and others were worth the reading, and the lessons learned will be remembered for a very long time. Reviewed by Dawn R. Reeves of The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers

DISILGOLDSOUL LITERARY REVIEW: WHAT IF WHAT YOUR MAN DID LAST NIGHT COULD RUIN YOUR LIFE FOREVER?

DISILGOLDSOUL LITERARY REVIEW: WHAT IF WHAT YOUR MAN DID LAST NIGHT COULD RUIN YOUR LIFE FOREVER? "A WICKED, SCANDALOUS, TWISTED and POWERFUL TALE has arrived that will leave your mouth agape to the very end!" - Heather Covington/[...] Marsha Jenkins Sanders, WICKEDLY and SCANDALOUSLY exposes the secret lives of Katlyn Kincaid, a Fortune 500 Company CEO who has an extreme [...] for neatness and organization in her life, and Justin Kincaid an overnight R & B Music Sensation who is so handsome, women throw themselves at his feet in her debut hit, "The Other Side of Through." The Kincaids have the kind of intrigue that lures paparazzi, fans and other successful people into their world. What more could a power couple want than power, money, fame and a pampered lifestyle. Sanders, whose captivating book is semi-based on her true life experiences as the wife of a popular R & B Recording artist, brings truth to the dark underbelly of the music industry that is by far one of the most engaging books on the market right now, and leaves readers wondering which scenes are based on Sander's actual life. The Kincaids, who should be the "Power Couple of the Year," set the glamorous life ablaze in this RITZY, FAST PACED & SENSATIONAL novel filled with $600 dollar Prada bags, Mercedes-Benz rides, high profile dinners at the Ritz-Carlton, lavish celebrity-filled parties and plenty of mimosas, but there is one problem you'd never guess. Justin Kincaid is not only hiding a terrible secret from Katlyn Kincaid who may have wished she didn't marry a recording artist turned Hollywood superstar, but the secret is full blown and death-defying. Be prepared for your heart to melt to ICE. Just when you thought it was safe to marry a superstar, Sanders twists the reader with the kind of true-to-life based scenarios and outcomes that will make all couples think twice about tying the knot with a superstar that every woman or man wants. Katlyn's fate may be just on time or too late. "The Other Side of Through" lends well for scripting as a movie or play. "The Other Side of Through" is certainly one of the MOST ELECTRIFYING and TWISTED must-reads of the year! A POWERFUL and GIFTED WRITER is born, and the message of the book is as clear as no.1 on the bestsellers list! Sanders scored big with her debut novel. In Search of Happiness

In The Other Side of Through by Marsha Jenkins-Sanders, Katlyn Kincaid believes she has the perfect fairy tale marriage. She has been the number one supporter of her husband, Justin Kincaid, and his R & B singing career before anyone knew who he was. She even helped to write his hit song "Who's Kissing You". But lately, she has suspicions of Justin not being faithful to her. Although grateful for all that Katlyn has done for him, Justin is no longer happy in the relationship. With female fans throwing themselves at him, he longs for the single life again. He decides to stray and leave her for a woman that he finds more exciting. After a while, Justin realizes that the grass is not always greener on the other side. He begins to see the flaws in this new woman that were not apparent before and starts to regret his decision. Katlyn, although still not over Justin, is struggling to get on with her life. For the first time, she must decide what it is that will make her happy instead of trying to please others. I enjoyed this book although, there were some parts where I would have liked the author to go into more detail about some of the events that occurred. For example, there was a point where Katlyn and her friend Felicia go to dinner and there was no mention of them ordering or eating. It jumps from Katlyn talking to another friend who she ran into there, to her and Felicia talking about how full they are from the food they had just eaten. If these changes have been made to the final print, then I recommend reading this book. Shaquitta Leday APOOO BookClub
