Great book!

Wonderful book! A must have if there is a hunter or outdoor enthusiast in your life. This book takes the guess work out of finding interesting places to visit, and offers delicious, out of the ordinary (but not weird) recipes from some of the best lodges around. Well written text and beautiful photography. A very nice coffee table book and conversation starter!

Fabulous book...a taste of the country's best.

This is a great cookbook, offering an array of recipes using techniques ranging from simple to more advanced, with a taste of something everyone will love. The recipes are the most popular from the best lodges in the country, and were compiled by two of Orvis's experts. You can feel their passion in the preface & introduction, as well as in the glimpse into each lodge that is represented. Libby's Blueberry Cobbler is fabulous, as is the Lone Mountain Ranch's Alsatian Red Cabbage Slaw. Not to mention the Triple Creek's self-named Montana Chili. I'm not a game eater personally (although my husband is and has enjoyed several of the recipes without me) but have still gotten so much use out of this book. Again, something for everyone.
