Great book for all ages

Being a new mom...I love this book! I didn't know how many games, etc I had forgotten until I got it. This book will make sure future generations don't forget all the great games we all played as kids. Great gift for shower, childcare provider, teacher, babysitter, or anyone who loves kids!

Excellent for Parents, Caregivers, & Librarians Like Me!

As a Children's Librarian, I highly recommend this book. I've gotten some excellent ideas for after school library programs to do with kids of a variety of ages. Do you remember all those classic childhood games you used to play? Does Kick the Can come to mind? How about the card game Spoons? Maybe you can't remember the lyrics to "Pat-a-Cake" or the rules to Capture the Flag. Author, Kirsten Denney, has published a book, The Orange Mama Laid, that is exactly what all parents and caregivers need to keep children entertained. This book will help you out on car rides, camping trips, or just lazy summer afternoons. As soon as I saw this book I knew I had to buy it, not only for myself but for my parents and my inlaws. It will make a great baby shower gift too. This is a great guide that has all the games we played as kids. I didn't realize there were so many games I forgot about. I did know that there were many I couldn't remember the rules for(like Spud) but this has solved my problems. It has inside, outside, pool, and car games. It has alot of those songs you sing to a baby with the hand motions. This book brings back so many happy memories of playing as a child and we have so much fun introducing the games to our daughter. I am so glad this book came out while my daughter is still young.

This book is perfect for anyone who cares for kids. It is full of fun activities that DON'T require special materials. The games are fun, and the instructions are easy to follow. They bring back so many childhood memories, and I know they'll create new ones for our family. It's perfect for moms, dads, babysitters, teachers and relatives. I will be giving it as a gift to others. Also--it's great for high-energy kids. My child asks to play games from this book, and even reads it herself for ideas!
