Why did I wait Soo long to get this Book!?

I am very pleased to finally own this well curated tome. I like seeing how the original newsletters were sent. I see these and remember my pleasure at holding the newsletters from my Sewing hero's back in the day. I returned to knitting at work in a Sewing shop. We saw a desire to embellish with yarn, exotic threads, beads, sequins and spangles in our customer base. Attending TNNA in our city we found balls and skeins of yarn and all the doo dads that would provide decorating fodder for our budding designers, and ourselves. As soon as the entire skeins and fluffy soft balls of yarns were also available the knitters appeared like Humingbirds as if from nowhere and Voila we were also a knitting store. I am a person who has to answer the question; How do you do that? and there I went teaching what I learned at my Grandmothers knee. Reading Elizabeths words takes me home to England and with her forthrite language I travel with her in the canoe, car or treking through the north with her Old Man. But there are all kinds of Knitting patterns which make timeless sense, design ideas and how to execute them to fit real people. The ideas that you can Do this is the backbone of Elizabeth's legacy. This book is well presented by her daughter Meg Swansen mentions other family involvement now in the 3rd generation of the business of Knitting. Other great knitters and designers acknowledged in these pages can lead you on your own adventure in knitting.
