What I love the most about this book is the poetic language that is used in the description on onion's place in culture, infused with citations of poets and anecdotes about the persons from authors' circle of family and friends. You can imagine the authors' facial expressions as they tell the story, full of enthusiasm. The book also has many interesting recipes, again accompanied by little anecdotes in the sidebars. What this book is missing is the color picture of each and every dish it presents, as I am sure it would help us prepare each dish the way that authors intended it to be. It would give an additional feeling that we are there with the author, sampling these mouth-watering delights.
