I bought this for myself because I'm a lazy cook and always looking for recipes with "easy" in the descripton, but now I have to buy another. The book turned out to be perfect for the library at my parents' retirement community so I donated it. These recipes are the kind of food people in their eighties and nineties love--something a little new but still familiar. Yes, people cook in retirement communities, yes they still like to experiment--within their comfort zone. Obviously this book is also good for seniors living in other settings. The nutrition is a step up from the fat-heavy food my mom cooked, and the ingredients are mostly familiar. A great gift for older people who cook.
