No more ho-hum

Actually, this is the wife of Charles Holton the author/writer/speaker! Lynne has a great way of turning the ho-hum of the mom's duties into spiritual applications. I am encouraged to look at my chores and responsibilities for the day as spiritual adventures.

For all you past, present and future soccer moms

Soccer moms, if you have been one, are one, or will be one, this book is a must read. It is very insightful, funny, and totaly entertaining. Soccer dads will love it too. Don't miss out on this fun read.

User Friendly!

1. The stories quickly grab your attention, because their identifiable, funny (very funny) and interesting. 2. Once your attention is captured, the transition into a spiritual truth is smooth and easily understood. 3. The truths Lynne communicates about her struggles, verses Gods loving and gracious character, stomps on the condemnation we can all feel. Condemnation stops many from pursuing more about God. The stories left me thankful and in awe of God who knows us, cares, and is concerned about making us better through all life's toils and triumphs! 4. I also learned some interesting things that were "use it right now practical" (cry cues), interesting (extreme lifespans)and relaxing (holiday scramble). You'll be glad you read it!

Practical Encouragement for Moms!

This book was written by someone who has definitely "been there and done that" with her kids. Lynne has taken her experiences with her kids and life in general and applied them to what she has learned about God. The daily readings are concise and definitely encouraging. She is very real and down to earth. If you need a little hope that you are not alone during the crazy time of child rearing - this book will offer it. Lynee has done really neat "Momism's" funny quotes that we all say to our kids, she has lots of clever ideas for motivating kids, and a special section to journal in after reading the daily scripture. I apprecaiate the levity and encouragement this book offers during what can be a a very busy time of life. Highly recommended.
