This book discusses how the changing lifestyles altered the eating habits of urban middle-class women in India, and effected how their nutrition needs are met. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book was very helpful to me as a busy, single person who didn't put much effort into eating well. It gives examples of truly quick, easy ways to have a meal. It gives lists of what to buy at the grocery store so that you will always have something on the shelf with which to make a decent meal. It shows that living alone is no excuse for not eating well; you don't have to cook a gourmet meal for one - you can put a meal together quickly, and know that you ate something healthy. The book also shows how to eat less fat, and put more iron, calcium and magnesium into your diet. Finally, if you want to use them, it gives you menus to use. My copy was well-underlined.
