The Nuns by Marcelle Bernstein

I really enjoyed this book..there were so many things brought to light of which I was totally unaware. The author delves into history, personal stories, the whys and hows of the convent and cloister. The changes that took place after Vatican II and the upheaval suffered in most communities answers some of the questions regarding the loss of so many nuns. Great reading if you are interested in the life of a nun.

Very interesting insights

I read this book out of curiosity and was pleased to find that it is far from being dull -- if you are interested at all in nuns and their place in popular culture and the world, you'll find this book insightful and interesting.
