Margaren Moore Great once again.

Ms. Moore has done it again. The Notorious Knight (Harlequin Super Historical Romance) As a fan of historical romance, I say that she is my favorite writer of the genre. The notorious night has the right balance of conflict with the outside world, conflict between the main characters, and suggestive romance. I say suggestive because while not as innocent as Barbara Cartland's 2 kiss books, it doesn't come close to the smuttiness that is available in some books today. I hope that you enjoy this as much as I have.

A very enjoyable medieval romance.

I'm so glad Margaret Moore is still writing Medievals when it seems that most writers these days are writing Regencies which I am not a big fan of. This was a well written love story with a likeable lead couple. I'd highly recommend it to readers who love Medievals and I can't wait to read her next book.

Amazing

For someone who has very little interest in medieval romance, I have to say Margaret Moore is the only author who writes these kinds of books that not only can I finish but I can't hardly put them down. Even Julia London, whose books I love, cannot write a medieval romance as good as Moore. I pass on all of them at the bookstore except hers. This story is just as good as the others I've read and in fact is probably one of the best historicals I've read. She connects the characters in such a way, makes her heroes so genuine and likeable that you can't help falling a little bit in love yourself just reading her stories. Kudos to Moore for this one.

fabulous medieval romance

In 1204 at D'Averette Castle, Gillian d'Averette vows to adhere to the pledge she and her sisters Adelaide and Lizette made to never marry; she has never forgotten what an SOB her sire was. However, she is stunned when Sir Bayard de Boisbaston arrives with the news that Adelaide married his half brother Lord Armand (see MY LORD'S DESIRE). Besides feeling a bit betrayed by her sibling, Gillian cannot rid herself of the handsome pest, who intercedes in her running the castle. Bayard detests his nickname as the "Gypsy Lover", which he knows is false. He tries to persuade Gillian that his notoriety is not only a lie, but that it is implausible. He struggles to convince her that she is the only woman for him even as Gillian admits to herself she loves her brother-in-law. THE NOTORIOUS KNIGHT is a fabulous medieval romance starring two obstinate lead characters that in some ways are like the irresistible force meeting the immovable object. Bayard knows he wants Gillian as his wife while Gillian knows she wants no one especially an arrogant knight who reminds her of her father to be her husband. The sub-genre audience will enjoy their gender war compounded by law that disallows family members from marrying; since their siblings are wedded they are by law family. Harriet Klausner

A Notorious Man for all the right reasons

I read this book and was entirely entralled. Bayard de Boisbaston was a knight of true convictions. He was a man of honor, loyal to his family and himself. Lady Gillian was a lady who did not trust any man including her father. Bayard was so in love with Gillian that he was afaid in telling her because he felt he would scare her away. He had to show his love through his actions and his deeds. The story kept this reader turning the page. Also, I was glad that the characters from the previous book, My Lord's Desire were included in this story. The author is true to her trade. Ms Moore is truly exceptional in her writing because you feel it straight to your heart. Bravo!!
