This is an almost verbatim redition of the underrated Sean Connery spy thriller film, aka The Arab Conspiracy. But the book also contains some interesting stories and variations that were not included in the film. As I alluded to in the film review, the premise might contain a solution to help bring about peace in the Middle East: If Arab and Jewish countries refined their own gasoline on a massive scale, poverty and resentment against the ruling monarchies, Israel, and the western nations could be almost eliminated.
