OFF THE BEATEN PATH

This book #63 in the Mack Bolan saga is off the beaten path where Bolan books are concerned. The book is many things: a book of short stories, pages of letters to Don Pendleton with his answers, a fully illustrated, alphabetically arranged combat catalog between pages 64 & 99, architecture and landscape diagram of Stony Man Farm, a listing of all characters of Executioner novels 39 to 62, Able Team 1-9, Phoenix Force 1-9, and Stony Man Doctrine, a listing of terrorist organizations from those same books, and a roll call for Marines killed in Beirut, October 23, 1983. "From Nam to the loneliest war ..." this book gives bits and pieces of information concerning Mack Bolan, the Executioner, Sgt. Mercy, and Colonel John Phoenix, as no other book in the series. I doubt Pendleton wrote the book but three other writers are credited: Wiley Shade, Aaron Hill, and Judy A. Newton. This is the long awaited 'combat catalog'. Not a bad book at all to have on your GOLD EAGLE shelves with the other Bolans, Stony Man, Phoenix Force, and Able Team already there. Stay hard & Live Large. Semper Fi.
