This book presents essays by the most profound thinkers of our time on Systems thinking and leadership. Fritof Capra, Peter Senge, Carol Sanford, George Land, Willis Harman, Hazel Henderson are all here in one place with foundational thinking. These are the seminal thinkers in the field even today. The views are very diverse and often conflicting. It covers theory and practice, business and not for profit. I found it helpful since systems thinking seems like it is one idea and approach when it is really many different ways of thinking under one umbrella. If you look at Systems Thinking from the view of science, philosophy, business, ecology, and psychology and even art, you begin to see the rich possibilities it provides to leaders in all walks of life. The ideas in this book are still not in the mainstream of business but if implemented would shift the paradigm so that business leaders, their employees and their customers (as well as citizens) would benefit.
An excellent choice

I recently finished this book and I must say that it was not only informative and well written, it was impecably organized. I was very impressed with Alan Rinzler's writing style and look forward to reading other books by him. I recomend this book to anyone interested in this topic.
