In Depth Analysis of our "new" government

It's a great book if you want to understand the lasest development in american democracy. Gives detailed explanations and coverers all the important components of our government. Although it is a great book, be careful you actually want the alternate edition. I bought this book thinking it was the original with all the chapters. It is not the full edition! Everything is identical except this edition leaves out the last three chapters on policy. Pro's --Cheaper than the full edition by about $15-20 --Completely identical information and layout as the original (except the last three chapters# Con -- doesn't have the chapters on the country's foreign and defense policies. #well it's not really a con because I was the one that didn't pay attention when I bought it)

Excellent!

I received this text book in excellent condition and very promptly. I am very much impressed with the service I received! =)

A truly incredible introductory American politics textbook!!

Fiorina and Peterson have done an incredible job with their new and completely updated version of "The New American Democracy." In addition to being thoroughly researched, it presents the material in a clear and concise manner and provides ample opportunity for further enrichment. In addition to providing paper sources, each chapter lists numerous web links and has a wonderful supplementary site that is constantly being updated. It is remarkable to see how current the text is, and I very much appreciate the fact that the examples are kept current and relevant to the college reader. Those students at Stanford and Harvard are quite fortunate to learn directly from these political science giants, and those that do not can gain an immense from the text itself.
