Prosaic perspective

I purchased this book after reading Ms. Greene's Saturn book. The latter is superlative. This book is almost its opposite in quality. I only made it through the first 50 pages or so. The explanations, and they are mundane explanations, of the mysteries of the Mythic Journey expunge the life from the myths. I guess I should have read the title more carefully.
