The Morgan Bay Mysteries are a series of books designed for the student reading at second-grade level. The books are to help the student become familiar with words and how they are used in a sentence and the story. At the end of the story are exercises for each chapter. Alot of tests deal with what do you remember in the story. 292 words that were used in the first book of the series, THE MYSTERY OF MORGAN CASTLE, are also used in this second book, so the student should be familiar with the words this time. This book and the story is a favorite of mine. I was already a genius at reading, but I found the pictures intriguing and memorable and I like the story. As a child, I would check-out this book occasionally. Twenty-five years later, I was able to purchase the very book at a library book sale and other books of the series. Some now I have them for my collection and for sentimental reasons. Perhaps my own daughter will use these books for any future children she may have. Yes. These books should continue to be reprinted and used in schools and libraries and also for home-teaching. These books can also be used by an adult who would like to learn English too.
