When I read this book for the first time in 1991 I welcomed it as a profound gift along my way of self-discovery. Together with others at a local parish, I used "The Mystery of My Story" to deepen experiences of lectio divina, centering prayer and Bible study. As I re-read it now I can appreciate how the insights, practical writing exercises and wise encouragement filling this small yet effective book helped me to name and actualize my own spiritual integration.
