As a mother of children who read well above their age level it is difficult finding books for my 6 year old boy that he can both enjoy and that don't have social issues in them well beyond his maturity level. This book, as all of them in the series, fit that bill for me. I also appreciated the open discussion of good character and Christian morals in the book. Not as hidden as CS Lewis's classics but he is still a little too young to read those! And I didn't have to worry about the offensive behaviors he picked up as when he read Diary of Wimpy Kids...which is way above his maturity level. Thank you Beverly Lewis for, yet again, writing appropriate material for kids!
