Easy to read, nice intro to Sedona

We recently bought this book as a prelude to our trip to Sedona. It is very nicely written and shows you Sedona from the metaphysical angle. At the same time, it gives you useful info on regular things like on snakes, spiders, seasons in Sedona etc, although the accent is on vortexes, extra-terrestrial experiences and similar. For me personally, it is just perfect, short and straight to the point, but very friendly at the same time.

First off I'd like to say what an upstanding person Tom Dongo is. I've never known him to lie. As someone who has spent quite a bit of time with him and knows his character I'd say that he has tremendous integrity. As a result of that and my observing his methods I would say that anything he has written he has researched thoroughly because he does not put words to paper without convincing himself through his research and due diligence that the topics presented and his opinions about them are genuine. Also because he has heart he will often disguise the names of the people he's talking about so they get to have their privacy. A casual glance at some of the critical statements about Sedona and experiences people have in Sedona will help you to understand why a certain amount of discretion is necessary. It's challenging enough for people to have these visions and sights and experiences - they don't need to be made fun of. In short I would have to say that any book that Tom Dongo has anything to do with is from my point of view something worth looking at and I can give him my complete and thorough endorsement on the basis of his character, his qualifications to write these things and to him as a person. Goodlife to you all.

The Mysteries of Sedona: The New Age Frontier

I picked up this book today and could not put it down until I had read it from cover to cover. It is a quick read, but is packed with information. In the afterword, Tom Dongo states, "It is my hope that the ultimate result of this book will be to make people think, and consider realms of existence they might not normally be accustomed to - or aware of." The author accomplishes that and more. He discusses the Rock People, called Wapeka by local Indians. He also deals with the vortexes (locations, scientific explanations and world vortex locations.) He also digs into the paranormal aspects of Sedona, channeling, Lemuria, and our need to transcend our fears when dealing with foreign entities and energies. He strongly encourages us to use our discernment when we encounter these forces, while relying on our intuitions and unconditional love. Wise words for our changing times. I would consider this a valuable book for anyone who frequents or resides in Sedona, as it deals with many esoteric topics that have been avoided by other writers for far too long. It also has beautiful photos and a section on climate and snakes. Well done!!
