Great Book

Upon my interest of the civilization of D'ni, and Riven, I craved for more information, wanting to know so much more about D'ni, it's cluture, background, and structure. So, I ordered this book, and got more than I hopped for. It was exactly what I was looking for. I believe the order in which the books are placed is perfect and I reccomend this book to anyone, adults and children, who likes a good read that keeps you turning pages. If your interested in D'ni, and want to know more, this is the book for you. I can't wait for The Book of Marrim.

One of the Best books I've read in a long time

I have read many books in my lifetime and this is very eliquent and great to read. It follows the game from Myst and Riven. I found that after I read it that I wish I had read the second book first and then the first and thrid.

Excellent trilogy

I read and re-read these books once a year. It's a great story and they lead into Myst and Riven perfectly. Very entertaining adventure stories even if you've never played the games or don't intend to. I highly recommend them.

Great pick for fantasy lovers

The Myst series is a very in depth and imaginative fantasy. I've read the book at least twice each. The Myst Reader set is great, because it contains all three in a nice easy package. Now although the Volumes are in the correct order, i would recommend reading Book 2, the Book of Ti'ana, first. As far as timelines go, Book two comes first.

Love the stories, but the book itself.....

I was very excited seeing three of my favorite novels brought together into one book! The stories are wonderfully woven together, description meets plot and dialogue without becoming boring. The character's personalities and their environments are realistic. The authors were very dedicated to their story(which is very cool that they're the creators of the games!) Another wonderful bonus is the illustrations. Not a polished, fake picture, but illustrations that have a charming hand-drawn look. Wonderful stories! However, I was very disappointed that the book was a paperback. With almost a 1,000 pages, the spine is thick and is easy to crease (I'm anal about my book conditions, sorry.) I was also hoping for some extra material, like the map that was included with some of the previous hardcover editions. The extra details and bonuses are one of the best things about the books. Well, all in all, wonderful stories, great idea of combining them, just make a hardcover and I'll be 100% happy.
